Water/ice dispenser paddle area leaks half a teaspoon of water every 24 hours since delivery now 15 calendar days. Water line is not connected. No external water. Lowes delivery and store staff unable to resolve. Whirlpool employee assigned to Lowes store has not replied to Lowes Assistant Manager voice mail and email asking for help (9 calendar days) Whirlpool employee has not replied to customer email asking for help (7 calendar days). Horrible refrigerator. Don't buy this

Received this through my home warranty, my space is small so I can only get up to 33in wide. 2 refrigerator the same issue, the door hinges up top are off sided. I was told by 2 different techs that the bottom hinge was broken from the refrigerator the refrigerator side don't cool have a lot of condensation that I have to sponge out because of mold. They sent someone to bring the 3rd one the guy took it off the truck but didn't bring it inside he said it had the same issue the door was off centered. This was December 2025. I was suppose to have another one delivered but they canceled and said they would have to reschedule it is August and I still have not received a replacement yet, still wiping water from the shelves and the bottom. They told me they couldn't take my kitchen door off again so I told them I would. I see I'm not the only one with this issue reading other reviews. I called my warranty company they saidbi have to call whirlpool since they never replaced it

I'm pretty unhappy with the features on this 2026 refrigerator. The drawers are unbelievably hard to open and close. I even added slick tape which didn't seem to help at all. My 20 year old Kenmore drawers worked so easy no matter how much I had in them. These are not slick. I never imagined a newer model at twice the price would be getting me less. The door shelves are such thin plastic that I'm sure will break anytime. I see they offer more heavy duty replacements online, but why not put in better quality when you sell the refrigerator?! The unit comes with no air freshener in place. The refrigerator shelves are not movable. The ice maker or some level of operations makes noises like moaning and it seems I hear gears turning. It can be kind of embarrassing when others are around. The top refrigerator light blinds you when you open the door. It is that garish blue blinding light that reminds me of those blinding headlights giant SUV's or pick up trucks. I always have to put a tall milk carton in front of it to cut down on the brightness, which then cuts down on the amount of light I am getting in the fridge. It always seems dark. I'm sorry I purchased this model. I do not know who I am talking to here? A review for what entity? Is it going to Whirlpool directly?

Loving my new fridge thus far. My previous fridge was huge so when it died, I decided to downsize. Afterward, I worried I had made a mistake. When the fridge arrived, I realized I had no worries. I placed everything and still had space left over. I like the shelves and bins placement and if needed can be organized to fit my needs. Ice maker works well also. If this fridge lasts as long as my previous one, I will be totally satisfied.

We purchased this refrigerator to replace one that we had for 19 years. This model is basically the replacement model for the original (ED2JHGXRQ02) but it in no way compares to it, The shelves are not adjustable, the water/ice dispenser paddles are very inconvenient to use and the water dispenser drips down the front of the door. We have not been pleased with this refrigerator.

I™€™m not thrilled with it. I have to be extra careful when I close the right side door or the left freezer door pops open, just a little so it may not be noticeable until I later realize it was open. Then frost starts to build up. I already had a repairman come out to improve the freezer seal, but apparently I need to have it looked at again. Also, I have eggs on top shelf and the frozen!!! As well as a container of yogurt that was too close to the side wall of top shelf? So not very happy™€¦.

A Good Refrigerator Could Have Been Great

It is disappointing that the shelving in the refrigerator section are not adjustable. In order to fit orange juice, iced tea, and iced coffee containers into the refrigerator I had to remove the top shelf, reducing the storage capacity of the refrigerator. Also even when the refrigerator and freezer compartments were fully loaded the refrigerator still moved around when I pulled the handles to open the doors. There were no instructions about how to stop the refrigerator from moving.

I've had a repairman come to repair and/or replace the ice maker 4 times. This has occurred within a 6 month period. We bought The whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator And the Door In the ice shoot would not close And we had large temperature swings Inside the freezer and the refrigerator during the 24 hour. . The temperature swings were between 12 and 20° from High low in both the refrigerator and the freezer. Our Retail shop where we bought it replaced after three weeks the refrigerator with the same model . We are having the same problem with the new refrigerator that was installed four days ago . We're waiting for a repair team from whirlpool in two days. It is not been a fun time for us And it has costed us Money To throw away food .

Refrigerator Rolls Forward When Opening Door

I saw another review from a customer who purchased the same exact refrigerator just days after I bought mine. The store I purchased from said they've never heard of this issue ... but obviously it "is" an issue. Every time we open the door, the refrigerator rolls forward as there are no "feet" to hold the refrigerator in place. As the other person indicated, the manual that comes with the refrigerator states that there are feet. To which the store manager told us that the manual is "generic" and not specific to this model only. I called Whirlpool and spoke to a very nice person who assured me that it "should" have feet on it. Service came and said (I quote) ... "yup, it's on wheels, there's nothing I can do." Service states that there are no feet for this refrigerator even though Whirlpool has said that there is. I've gone back to the store manger who would sell me another refrigerator but charge me a $400 restocking fee for a $1500 refrigerator!! Whirlpool ... you need to step in and make this right. Was this an error in manufacturing or did you really make this model without feet? We checked every other model of yours that was in the store and they ALL had feet. In fact, every refrigerator on the floor had feet no matter what brand. To top it off, every time the compressor comes on there is this VERY loud vibration near the front grill. I could somehow put up with the rolling but the vibration noise is going to make me lose my mind. Again, the tech said (quote) ... "yeah, it's something down there".

Refrigerator design problem

The refrigerator has wheels but they have no lock mechanism. The refrigerator moves forward when the doors are opened. There should be an easy lever or button to control rolling. I had to get service people to put wedges at the front wheels. This problem is inconvenient at best and dangerous at worst. Whirlpool should not make a product like that. Unfortunately I cannot get a replacement because I have size limits and this was the only choice.

Deceitful photos on product page

The photo of the inside of this model that is displayed on the product page is false advertising. The photo shows the freezer shelf holding several Home Run Inn cheese pizzas laid flat. The box for this brand pizza measures 12 x 12 inches. Yet the width of my new freezer shelf is less that 10 inches. In the photo the top slot on the freezer door is holding a box of Dole Banana Dippers which measures 7x8. This slot on my new freezer door measures only 4 inches wide. This is especially troubling because folks have been reporting this discrepancy on the Whirlpool WRS321SDHW review page for six years! But since this is the only side-by-side model with ice and water on the door made by any manufacturer that fits into a space less than 67 inches high I probably would have gotten the same model had I read these reviews before choosing it. But I do feel the dishonesty of the product photo is intentional and reflects the ethics of Whirlpool Corp. Let the buyer beware!

Refrigerator seems to run almost all the time. Very noisy. Not quiet at all. Constantly have to check the temp settings because they get bumped when getting ice or water out of the door and changing the settings. Doors don't line up even. Small but spacious

We had only a small space in the kitchen for a fridge (32" wide) and found this model, bought it and had it delivered and set up right away. It fits perfect, easy to pull in and out of the space for cleaning, water and ice in door work perfect.

Ice dispenser

This appliance functions as expected. The downside is the ice dispenser has a mind of its own. About an hour after last usage it will occasionally drop out an ice cube.

Spacious But Limited Configurations

This unit is spacious but there is limited flexibility in draw or shelf placement. You can not put anything tall on the fridge shelves. It has to go on the door, regardless of weight.

I replaced the Whirlpool I had. Disappointed with the ice maker. Ice cubes get lodged in the drop door, which means they either leave a puddle of water at the base of the dispensing area or eventually fall onto my wood floor and melt. Didn't have this issue with the previous one. Nor did it make the loud clunk sound I now hear when making new ice. My previous fridge was larger. I now think the reported sizes are not consistent with the actual ones. The larger one I saw pictured when shopping is exactly like the one I had but measurements listed indicated it would not fit into my space. I suspect now it would have.

Functional but disappointing

This replaced the Whirlpool side by side we had for 25 years. We stuck with white. The key benefit is it is a side-by-side with in-door water dispenser that fits the space (we have cabinets on the left, right and top of it and this is literally the only one on the market that we could find that fits). The water dispenser is also more accessible than the older model, so you can fill a pot from it for cooking. It is also less likely to yellow and get dirty than the old one as this is a smooth rather than textured surface and has less plastic. But, even after installers and we adjusted it, the doors still swing all the way and bang open. We anticipate the wear and tear to be pronounced. The compressor is also noisy - you can tell it is on when sitting 12' away. The energy star label shows it all the way at the max for energy consumption, so it is not as efficient as hoped. It is also designed such that the only place to put a gallon of milk is in the door (not a great option considering how hard the doors swing open) or on the top shelf, which is eye height and hard on the wrists. So we had to remove a glass shelf just to put a it at chest height. And for a $1500+ appliance it is tacky that one can see the black dots of the screw holes on the door handles and the metal hinges at the door tops; the old fridge was all white - with no holes on the door handles, and with white caps atop the door brackets. So, we have a new fridge, but figure it won't last (I anticipate that in a couple years we'll have stress cracks in the doors).

Ice maker

Purchased about 6 weeks ago. Couple of problems. Door on refrigerator does not stay open properly. Will fall back to wide open. Do not know if can be fixed. Was disappointed to find shelves are fixed not able to be adjusted.

Not happy as this refrigerator rolls out when you open door. My solution is to place a door stop at front of frig, wow what a look for your kitchen. Would not suggest this frig.

I have had this fridge for about a month and it does work. It was not my first choice but I had to work with the space that I have. The interior space is smaller than my previous fridge so it has taken some getting used to. My appliances are not all the same brand and this coordinates well with the other appliances. Features that I don't care for: 1) the rimless shelves. I don't look forward to the first leak or spill (and it will happen) 2) the shelves are not adjustable. The only shelf that will hold a juice carton is the top shelf. The bins on the door are adjustable so tall items will fit there. They just don't feel secure. 3) A taller glass will not fit under the ice/water dispenser. Water and ice often wind up on the floor. Some of this was in the description so I knew it when I bought it. 4) I still haven't figured out how to turn the icemaker off for cleaning. For me, this was the best choice for my space even with its limitations.

I am not happy with the black open square on the freezer hinge on the bottom near the water filter. The refrigerator is white and the little square opening stands out black when you look at the refrigerator. Also, I wish the shelfs had a spill proof frame around the glass shelfs. It would also be nice to have adjustable shelf slots, so you could put the shelfs at different levels inside the refrigerator. I like the shiny white doors. The light is very bright inside the refrigerator and freezer. I also enjoy the deli drawer.

questionable quality and customer service

Unit was delivered damaged, dent on the lower right side that we did not notice until the techs left. Further, and more troubling, the unit seeming runs almost nonstop with the refrig/freezer temperature settings in the middle range. Called to "customer service" was told that if Whirlpool sent out a tech to look at the unit and found nothing wrong, I would be charged $200. If the unit is running almost constantly, have serious doubt that the unit was designed and engineer that way.
