I bought this oven and have had it for two weeks. I am disappointed with the purchase. For starters, I had read reviews about the blue plastic wrap adhered to most of the stainless steel surfaces, but I was not prepared for the amount of plastic/surface area it was adhered to. It took two of us a total of 3 hours together even using a hair dryer to soften the plastic and plastic scrapers working tediously. The Manual is not specific enough on how to use the Smart features nor is the app. Yes, I can turn it on remotely. The griddle zone on the stovetop only turns on when each knob is turned a specific way, and there is no griddle included. There are no markings on the oven or directions for that feature. The warming drawer is flimsy and can easily come off track if it is not pulled out slowly. I contacted online assistance, but my questions could not be answered with the AI bot so the only option given was to pay a $5 fee to speak to someone so I declined. What happened to a full manual or to all of the information on the app? If someone can tell me how to increase the volume for the timer setting and tell me how to change the clock out of military time I would appreciate it. The plus is it is the same style as the Whirlpool overhead microwave we purchased 5 years ago so the style matches well, but it would be nice if these features were more customer friendly.

I bought this range about a month ago i would like to know how I can get reimbursed for the terrible an unsafe still that I purchased i thought it was me because I was 80 years old and I got burnt four times !!! my daughter who is much younger i said do you need the stove but this is what my problem is I can't see if the burners are on or off until I burn myself she said Mom I'd love it I need a new stove anyway She has had it in her house for 2 days She's tried to lock it with her app So that the knobs won't turn on What idiot and I mean idiot ever design such a fire Hazard Somebody's going to really get burnt or their house is going to be burnt down I 'm going to see if We can't come to some agreement Otherwise I'm going to see what I can do with a Better Business Bureau I'm sure they're going to look at my complaints how easy it is to bump the knobs and the next thing before you know it you burnt yourself or what's over on the stove is on fire Oh yeah Sally Reinert I know you're interested in the Aesthetics of something but believe me you better be more interested in the safety I can't believe other people aren't as concerned as I

This is my 1st & last Whirlpool purchase

I have been mulling over whether to leave this review for a month now, but I™€™ve gotta have my say™€¦this is the first Whirlpool appliance that I have owned & it will be my last. We replaced a 20 year old GE ceramic top range with this Whirlpool range in late November 2024. There was nothing wrong with our GE, but the oven on my mother™€™s 30 year old GE stopped working™€"she doesn™€™t cook very often so we gave her our range & purchased a new Whirlpool. I was leaning toward a Samsung, but we live in a rural area & no one here repairs Samsung/LG & it was recommended by local repairmen to purchase Whirlpool/GE/Frigidaire. I chose this Whirlpool as it had features that I liked over the other 2 US brands. Jump forward to July 2025 & I am wiping the stove top with a damp microfiber cloth when a piece of the side trim along the front stainless steel strip breaks off. I thought the whole SS piece was metal but those side pieces are plastic. I am not happy. Two weeks later the same piece on the other side of the range breaks. I can also see the finish wearing along the front edge of the SS strip. None of this makes me happy. Once again, tonight I am wiping down the stove top with a damp(water only) microfiber cloth & as I come to the right-hand side of the stove top the cloth is caught on the rough edge of the broken trim & I see that it is cracking below the chip (area of the arrow in attached photo) & the top corner of the trim is separating from the SS piece ( circled area in attached photo). This should not be happening to an appliance that is less than a year old & only gets used 4 times a week. Is this the quality of workmanship that Whirlpool is putting out on a regular basis? At this rate in a matter of months these trim pieces will be completely gone. No the damage doe not affect the functioning of the range, but I did expect that my ™€œnew™€ appliances would look nice for longer than 9 months! My 20 year old GE that this range replaced barely had any wear to the ceramic top & we were the second owners of the stove! When I was growing up in the 70s Whirlpool was a brand name that you could trust, my grandparents had Whirlpool appliances. But I guess those days have come & gone. It™€™s sad that a company that built a trusted reputation with the US consumer, whose workers built products with pride for decades, is now producing products that can™€™t even last a year.

I have had whirlpool ranges in the past and I have always loved them this range does bake very good the issue that I have are the knobs at the bottom I am short I have burnt myself four times where the knobs were turned on I am almost 80 years old and it is impossible to read what the knob says whether it's low medium or high To the point I have sold this range and I am ordering another one but it will not be a Whirlpool this time with the knobs at the bottom The knob should be up at the top this is dangerous especially when you have little kids yeah it really looks great the other issue I have is the manual you don't really give a good manual how to set the clock. How to clean the oven and if you don't have internet where you think everybody does many people in the rural areas still don't or many people cannot afford it. I would think for the amount that you charge for these ranges you could at least print a decent manual So I would hope that you would take my comments into consideration i'm sure I'm not the only one that feels that way about these ranges i'm not a big fan of stainless steel but that's my opinion and that this was the only color that was available and self-cleaning at the time would I purchase it again absolutely not and that's why I am selling it, The one thing that I definitely wanted was the self-cleaning range And so my new range is coming on Friday, and the knobs are at the top or they should be.

Don't get fooled

Do not buy takes 30 min to boil water and take lid off loose boil. Have had 2 service calls, service techs say not working right but when they call whirlpool techs they say fine. Now takes hour to cook dinner that use dc to take 25 min. Been on phone hours with whirlpool with no resolve, what happened to backing yo u r product 100 percent.

We've only had the range for a month, but thus far we really like it. Very clean, stylish and contemporary looking. Seems to function well, although it hasn't gotten much use; time will tell. We hope the smooth surface is durable enough so that given moderate use, it doesn't scratch. Ditton for the painted horizontal area forward of the burners which seem to have a thin coating of paint. I hope my concerns prove to be unsubstantiated.

Regret not getting basic range with basic features

It is good to know that 80% of Whirlpool appliances are made in the US. I cannot rate this stove any higher. For one thing, I haven't used all the features. The cook top is difficult to keep clean. The bottom storage drawer does not slide in correctly and would be better used as a warming drawer. The electronic settings interface is not very intuitive. I had a hard time finding the method for resetting the clock to DST. I couldn't find the directions in the paperwork I was given. The cooking elements are nicely designed and heat up quickly.

Still getting used to it, had gas range before and really liked it. Very different for me and family. I am having trouble setting the clock time after losing power.

Lots of features

So far I'm very happy with my range. It has a lot of useful features and cooks very evenly. My only complaint is that no User Guide came with it. I found one online. It was helpful, but not model-specific. My range has so many features that I would like to have a guide to take me step by step on how to best use them. I looked at the Whirlpool website but that wasn't much help either.
