I could not wait to get a new oven. The burners are great and heats up very fast and evenly. I kept the middle griddle on my old stove to put my spoon rest in the middle. For this one I opted to go with the grate. It's very helpful for larger pans. My only wish is that all of the burners were the same size. I am not a crook that uses different sizes and I use the largest burner more frequently. I used the steam clean once and honestly it really did not do anything. It's pretty much for only a very light soils. The longtime Appliance store I use is not a fan of using the self-clean. I did have to use it one time so far because the first dish I I put in the oven accidentally spilled. The self-clean worked wonderful. I keep the inside and outside glass door clean with soap and water as well and wipe the stainless steel after each use. Love it!

Useless Griddle

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE MODELS WITH NON-STICK GRIDDLES! Less than one month after purchase, the non-stick coating on the griddle began to wear off. We only wash the griddle with a wash cloth and soap. We only use silicone utensils on the griddle. It is wearing off in the little run off tray to collect grease. The actual cooking surface is fine. This is NOT normal wear and tear. We were told there is only a 7 day warranty on the griddle BUT we could purchase a new griddle for over 100 and get a 1 year warranty on the new griddle. This is ridiculous. We paid a lot for the new stove and they expected us to pay over 100 for a warranty on a part that is faulty. We asked if we could upgrade it to the cast iron griddle they offer and just pay the difference between the two. This was also not an option, apparently. Now we have a griddle that will slowly become unusable and GE refuses to replace or help upgrade it to avoid this in the future. Thanks, GE!

We like it because cost wasn't bad and appearance matched our other applicance but the feature of having a drawer for skillets is great, having broiler in the oven was much better than our old one, the electronic clock and other buttons are easy to use and actually work, and the sealed top is great. The stove seems to work fine. When I installed it, I noticed eight screws on the back where loose and wires sticking out of the top, pinched between the back plate and the SS that holds the display. The storage drawer has a 3" x 5" dent on the bottom of the drawer.

The oven had problems coming up to temperature. I bought a thermometer and checked the operating temperature. The oven has an adjustment feature that allowed me to set the operating temp. The problem I am having is that the beep that notifies me that it's ready, is wrong - don't know how to adjust that.

I love the design of this range. However, I just purchased it and the first time I used the broiler, the smell was horrible. I had to open up the house to air it our and my eyes were stinging from whatever chemical was burning off. It was really bad. I have only used the broiler one more time since then. It wasn't as bad but still had to open up the windows to air out the house and get rid of the smell. am very disappointed in this and am hoping this goes away very soon! :(

Great oven!

So far I love the range. Each burner is a slightly different size making it perfect for any pot on the stove. The griddle is a nice feature that I did not think I would use but I actually have used quite a bit. The oven heats up very quickly. The only thing I do not like is the timer is extremely quiet.
