Nice fridge, just wish the freezer door had storage shelf for small things like frozen veggies and stuff like that. Also, the freezer motor is a little noisy when it runs.

The refrigerator/freezer works great. The refrigerator section is large, well lit, and easily accessible, with convenient adjustable shelves. The temperature seems perfect and keeps everything well. I do have a problem with the freezer. I had to replace my refrigerator in a hurry and did not see this one in person. My fault that I did not read the description thoroughly, but I was surprised on installation that the freezer door opened right to left, instead of being a pull-out drawer. I find this incredibly awkward as one has to squat down, duck one's head and reach back into it. It makes it hard to organize, reach things in the back and see what is in there. The freezer compartment would be perfect if it was on the top of the unit, but being on the bottom it is inconvenient and awkward. The unit itself works great, but the placement is terrible for one that is not a drawer. The other issue I have with this refrigerator/freezer is that it is incredible noisy. It sometimes sounds like a dishwasher that is running. In fact, when it was new, I found myself going into the kitchen to. see where the noise was coming from, and it was this refrigerator! In summary, it actually works great, I love the refrigerator compartment, but I don't like the freezer configuration and find it very noisy overall. If I were to buy it again, I would buy it with either the freezer on top or with the freezer being a pull-out drawer, but would not buy this one as it is.

Just moved to apartment building, which was just built, and all new appliances are installed in every apartment. My neighbor is also having the same problem. And, not to mention other three buildings, being built, using the same refrigerators. The freezer is extremely loud and gives head, banging headaches, since I moved in (Sept 2, 2025). So, loud that it makes my head spin and making me nauseous. I brought it up to the property manager and they swapped it out for a second refrigerator in this one is doing the same thing but only louder.

I'm extremely disappointed with my GE fridge. Since installation, it's been making a loud noise that only stops when unplugged. Despite multiple attempts, the local certified GE dealer didn't fix the issue, and GE's customer service team was unhelpful and dismissive. The noise persists, and I'm frustrated with the lack of resolution. Wouldn't recommend GE fridges due to poor product quality and customer service.

I love the design of this refrigerator. The 2 door feature is perfect for the designated space.
The top has plenty of capacity for storage and is does not require bending down to get product out (a great feature for us seniors). The freezer at the bottom is great because it is not accessed as often as the top

Love the look of our GE refrigerator , great door space but could use another level for racking or lowering a shelf. But one disappointment I have is the door doesn™™t have a stopper so it swings back to far, we have to grab it our chase it our just let it swing way back

Great replacement for my 15 year GE refrigerator. Only downside is that I was used to a pullout freezer as opposed to a swinging door. New one lacks numerical temperature readings for both freezer and refrigerator. All in all, happy with my new GE!

Do not buy. Lower freezer fan makes loud annoying noise. This product has manufactured default products in it and GE will not replace without charging consumers for repair.

Refrigerator is OK, although needs setting at highest temp. to stay within correct temperature 0f 38-42. Problem is the bottom freezer: a door instead of a drawer! Too small! Shelves do not roll out! You will need to buy a separate freezer in most cases.

Left produce drawer is freezing and we have the temp as warm as it can be w/o entering the "danger zone".
The swinging freezer door is SO stupid and seems like a really lame way to save on production costs. It's also grinding on the metal hinge and making plastic shavings everywhere.

I wish I had a bottom freezer long ago. Now I can see what in the refrigerator with out bending over. GE was the only one with the size that fit where it would work. At this point I am very happy with it.

I bought this with a telephone call to a local appliance dealer, and did not see before delivery. I hate it! What a mistake! I was expecting a bottom drawer. A bottom door is SO non-ergonomic. I'm 72 years old and find this configuration awkward to access. (My previous Sears refrigerator was a bottom drawer). I cannot return and I've been told that a retro-fit is not possible. The dealer offered to SELL me a different model. I am angry and disappointed.

Temperature inconsistent. Can't get freezer below 10 degrees. Have had repairs on brand new fridge(new board), still hovers at 14 degrees. Tried all troubleshooting. Food in fridge vegetetable drawers freeze.

Ice maker makes a squealing sound while filling up ice tray. Called GE and they refuse service to fix because they didn™™t install ice maker. Went to return ice maker but was told they could not exchange or accept return, so I had to buy a new ice maker out of my pocket. Will be my last GE Appliance after refusal to fix a problem that was an issue from day one.

We love our new GE! It's very quiet. Lots of room. The adjustable shelf space and door space is perfect for milk jugs and wine bottles. No fingerprints. It would be nice to have the shelf in the freezer pull out.

I specifically searched for a company in the USA and there was GE! My husband and I are in our 80's and decided we'd like a refrigerator w/ a bottom freezer since it's easier to view the contents. We both love the design of our GE refrigerator - from the shelving down to the large freezer and the door. The door shelving is wonderful for storing a lot, as well as making it so easy to locate what one is looking for. Since we both enjoy cooking, we have a large assortment of various seasonings that require refrigerating. To top it off the lighting is terrific. So, the fridge we chose is perfect. We couldn't be happier than to support a product made in the USA.

We've only had the fridge a day. But already, there are things that we love about it. Because it's just 30 inches wide, we were able to tuck it away in an odd little alcove in out kitchen. That has enabled us to reclaim 10-12 square feet of floor space, which makes a gigantic difference in a small kitchen. It's a relatively simple fridge. But that is what we wanted. You can add on bells and whistles - ice maker, running water, etc. But we didn't want that. The light inside the fridge is the brightest I've ever had. So far, it's great. Check back in a month or so. I expect we'll love it even more.

This GE refrigerator is fine. The only space in my kitchen for a refrigerator is only 30 inches wide. This one fits the space exactly. Yea! The only aspect that I don™™t care for is that the freezer has a door and not a drawer. But alas, that is a minor drawback for me. The fact that it fits exactly in my space is GREAT and I am soooo very thankful! Thank you GE!

We recently purchased 2 of these refrigerators for our church kitchen. I wasn't present when they were installed by the store, but noticed shortly after they were installed, when the compressed kicked on while I was walking through the kitchen, that one of them is much louder than the other. It sounds like something is not attached properly and we are getting a vibration noise from it. There is no warranty because they are installed in a commercial building. I could understand if there is a part failure after a couple years, but this is obviously a manufacturing defect and should be addressed regardless of where the unit was installed.

We have had this refrigerator a few days and it seems to function as expected. I was disappointed that the freezer is a door and not a drawer. At the time of delivery I saw the horizontal handle and thought that meant it was the drawer. The listing on the Home Depot website for this unit showed pictures with both door and drawer with no mention of choice or one or the other being a different model. This being the case with the website we went to Home Depot to order with the idea of being sure we got the freezer drawer. They did not have one at the store and the salesperson had no explanation for the website. We were just told to refuse it at delivery if it was not what we wanted. The horizontal handled door added a new twist to the whole confusion. Delivery was accepted and we plan to live with as is. I have no idea whether this is just a Home Depot marketing or website problem but it really should be clear what one is buying. The manual has a section concerning the freezer drawer ("on some models") but none on a freezer door.
It is just easier to pull open a drawer and look into it. A wall obstructs the the swung open door and the drawer within cannot come out very far and it is necessary to bend over to peer into the upper shelf.
